Blockchain as we know it today was described and defined in 2008. Then "someone" under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto set up the website bitcoin.org. Blockchain technology was initially used for cryptocurrencies, and over time it began to be applied in other areas. Blockchain can be used to securely store and share electronic medical records, allowing healthcare providers to quickly and easily access patient data. In order to fully exploit the potential of blockchain technology, it has to be combined with various security technologies. It should be kept in mind that blockchain is a relatively new and complex technology, and its application in healthcare should be a process that is gradually introduced and constantly improved through use.
